Get to know Jackson Zhao
Methods
Jackson completed VCE in 2025 and is now studying a double degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (Honours) and Pure Mathematics at Monash University, where he has achieved an H1 average. He loves maths most at the moment things finally make sense, and he wants every student to experience that same moment for themselves.
Outside of STEM, Jackson is a self-proclaimed art dropout, and he still sees pursuing Fine Arts as a possibility. He finds a striking similarity between the two fields: creativity is just as important in maths as it is in art, since solving a hard problem often means coming up with an approach of your own.
